Day 9 - In transit

OK. We are booked on a flight that leaves in a couple of hours to Tirana. Our bags are already checked, we've been through security and eaten at a restaurant. I spent the last hour on-line (yeah, wifi! and yes, it cost $) trying to find a hotel in Tirana. The hotel I originally had reservations at doesn't have any rooms for tonight or tomorrow. I called a youth hostel & they're expecting us. This should be interesting. I'm not exactly sure what our sleeping arrangements will be. We don't get there til 9pm, so we do need to sleep somewhere.

That's it. Gatwick was surprising quiet. There are people here, but hardly any lines. No chaos, no frustrations. Not what I was expecting. I had prepped the kids for lots of lines & waiting, and they asked about it after we were safely situated at a restaurant inside. Sometimes things do go smoother than planned.

Thanks for reading my blog. It's fun staying connected in this way.
